My most awesome childhood summer was when my cousins and I went to the province for vacation and endured the thrill of entering manhood as we all undertook the “labaha” and munched a handful of guava leaves… painful but fulfilling! =)
my most awesome childhood summer was spending those lazy afternoons flying kites + having impromptu picnics in the otherwise dried up rice fields with my siblings + my parents!

My summer as a kid was not as awesome as others. I was always making and finding ways to earn some money during summer so when the school comes I have money to buy things and also food that I can buy. Life during childhood was a bit tough and I am very proud that I made it where I am right now. There were times that I did feel summer was there already when I had a few minutes to run along our street and I was laughing. I was happy.
My memorable childhood summer was every time the month of March hits the calendar. That means school is about to finish and my Nanay (lola) will then starts cooking halo-halo ingredients and will place it in front of our house and me and my cousins will sell it. I love how we earn money and also enjoy time.

Climbing the trees which is not ours and getting its fruit was one of my memorable childhood summer. We were chased by the old man who is the owner of the land and pointed his airgun to us. We ran as fast as we can, too late to realize that each one of us went in a different direction. Thank God I’m still alive. It’s a good experience though.

You have one funny comment! From your same scenario, my Lolo used to chase kids who threw stones and branches on our mango trees/cashew trees. That’s the exciting part to run as fast as Gingerman!
i miss those times when children would play at the streets with traditional games after classes. where we will hang out under the trees and play mud with our bare hands.

My most awesome childhood summer to remember is when we used to spend summer vacation in Batangas. Swim to the beach nearby called lawit dila (coz we need to walk for an hr to get there), just chill and relax with cousins, titos and titas.
My most memorable childhood summer experience was when my granny unexpexctedly brings me to province. They suddenly decided to bring me if I would fit the Stick Line of SUper Ferry (It is for kids 3ft. below, I guess that would be free). I was crying so hard that time because I really wanna go. So I really prayed that I would fit into it and luckily I am. Haha.

I’ll have to try it again soon! 🙂 Those were the days also when we have all the time in the world playing outdoor games especially with my friends like tumbang preso, harang taga (patintero), luksong baka, piko, langit-lupa and so many to mention. Haha. I really miss everything about my childhood days! :”)

back when I was just 6 or 7 yrs old, and summer time was my most favorite time of the year because i’m on a vacation, which always feel that it lasts for such a very long time. My cousins spend their time on our grandparent’s house and there we did all sort of nostalgic things we do as a child like collecting aratilis fruits, roaming our village, eating halo-halo, and playing all throughout the day with such no worries :))
One of the most awesome childhood summer to remember is the halo-halo made by my mother. She makes it almost everyday and tops it up with an ice cream

The awesome childhood summer I could remember was Summer 1999. Our first time to visit Sagpulon Falls – an actual waterfall hidden in a town near our city. That summer was spent with family and family’s friends. We got to experience nature and spend quality time with everybody.

My most awesome childhood summer to remember would be the time when Pinatubo erupted. Of course it’s bad because of the casualties but as a kid, you are not aware of that still. I was just happy to be playing with all my cousins from both sides of the family who are all as i thought back then were having a super big “slumber party”
