Balingasay River was the recipient of the coveted Wetlands Conservation Award in 1994 as well as the Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran Award for inland bodies of water twice. Balingasay River, a river with numerous awards and a reputation for being the cleanest and greenest river in Region 1Another attraction to this location is the Pantal Hanging Bridge in Sitio Lubigan, Barangay Cabuyao, Bolinao, Pangasinan. It is the bridge that links Barangay Tupa in the municipality of Bolinao with Sitio Lubigan in Barangay Cabuyao. It is composed of metal and the Pantal Hanging Bridge can accommodate light vehicles like bicycles and motorcycles.
  7. Explore the Bolinao Falls. There are several waterfalls in Bolinao, each offering a unique experience. Falls 1,2, and 3 are easily accessible and perfect for a refreshing dip. These 3 waterfalls are connected to each other and they are also connected to the Balingasay River. The “falls” system is part of a stream to which the water from Balingasay river is flowing from, then down to the West Philippine Sea. Bolinao Falls is a natural wonder that should not be missed. The falls are surrounded by lush vegetation and offer a refreshing swim for those who brave the cold water.
  8. Try the local cuisine – Bolinao is known for its delicious seafood dishes, such as grilled squid, shrimp, and fish. Make sure to try the local delicacies, such as the binungay (rice cake cooked in bamboo) and tupig (grilled sticky rice cake).
