Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro
We were in search for perfect family getaway, since the my husband’s family hails from Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. Looking for exotic Mindoro beach esp. in Puerto Galera was a common decision for everyone. Best things to do in Puerto Galera is to book your next vacation on the other side of this town, you heard me right! A place far from the crowds of the common White Beach. Particularly the Talipanan Beach. We’re giving you insights of our DIY Travel Guide to El Canonero Diving Beach Resort at Puerto Galera. El Canonero is managed and operated by Italian citizens, although the staffs are all Filipino. A neighboring Italian lodge and restaurant – Luca’s Cucina Italiana is set nearby, on the other side, the Bamboo House Beach Lodge and Restaurant.
We were not successful with advanced booking made for El Canonero, instead we can still use the facilities over El Canonero and forwarded us to Bamboo Beach House.
Typically, I’ve seen the lodge from outside, it has the same structure from the room the Bamboo House Beach booked for us. Although the exteriors and interiors of El Canonero was more high end but the Talipanan beachfront is for everybody that’s for sure.

We spent most of our time at the bar area, my kid loves to try the pool sometime, even though she’s having more fun on the beach, more so with the sands.
